Halifax Men’s Committee Meeting

·       Secretary’s report

Report given and accepted

 

·       Tournaments

1 day member guest discussion of increasing the allocation of tournament fees to better the food provided for players.

This discussion included the Spring Member Guest also.

 

·       Treasurer’s report

Report given and accepted

 

·       Handicaps and Hole in 1 pool

The bill from the MGA is due on May 15th so Jack will remove all individuals that haven’t paid association dues.

Dave Pierce has made a hole in 1 and is in the hole in 1 pool. All members in the pool are posted on the door in the pro shop.

 

·       Greens

Greens are coming back well from aeration. Ed will mow them previous to the start of the Presidents cup. Ed should have his full staff soon. Cleaning around the creeks is ongoing.  The idea of keeping ropes up permanently between cart path and trees on the third hole was discussed and concluded to be a good idea by the committee.

 

·       Pro Shop

Assistant pro Joe Caffrey is back from Florida. Welcome Back Joe!! Course set up for the Cronin was discussed. And the use of pinsheets for tournaments was discussed.

 

·       Old Business

The use of the 10 round rule for eligibility the club championship was discussed and passed by a unanimous vote.

 

·       New Business

FMG gift was discussed. Bob and Jay Sullivan will further discuss costs and availability of possible gifts. Tee time policy was discussed and was determined it isn’t broken and the committee will not go to ownership with any recommendation for change.
